**Job Description**:
Position Title: Finance Associate

Reports to: Finance Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Berlin, Germany

SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for entering vendor invoices, selecting periodic payments, resolving vendor payment issues, contacting customers for information regarding their payment status and supporting the Finance and business functions with daily issue resolution and period close processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):

- Accounts Payable
- Creation/maintenance of vendors in the ERP system
- Preparing invoices for in compliance with required approvals
- Enter invoices into the ERP system
- Working with vendors to resolve payment disputes
- Working with personnel to resolve purchase order issues
- Review, investigate and corrects errors with vouchered items
- Provide invoice and PO information to support month end AP accruals
- Create payment control groups for the weekly check run
- Filing
- AR Collections
- Contact customers inquiring on payment status
- Investigate and resolves billing issues as needed
- Maintain customer contacts in the ERP system
- Perform Cash Applications
- Assist in and ensure rebilling of Passthrough costs and provide documentation upon request
- Month end Close Process/General Business Support
- Bank reconciliations
- Prepare/enter journal entries
- Support the management of intercompany activities
- Perform account reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Assist in compliance with PCI Financial Policies
- Track and monitor inventory
- Investigate work order and sales order issues in JDE
- Other duties as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No Supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
JDE or other ERP system knowledge a plus

Must possess exceptional skills in communication and exhibit demonstrated behaviors around customer care, customer service and sensitivity to customer needs

Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills

Must possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Must be well organized and detail and multi-task oriented

Must work well under pressure and be able to prioritize workloads

Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments

EDUCATION:
Strong accounting background

EXPERIENCE:
1 - 3 years a finance environment with exposure and basic knowledge of Accounts Payable/Collections/ General Ledger/Balance Sheet
