**The Opportunity**:
**What will I be doing in**my** new role?**
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics within the German market initially before branching out to other targeted European countries.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans for market entry and growth in Europe.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential markets, partnerships, and clients.
- Establish partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances with local businesses and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders across Europe.
- Manage major accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets and increase market share.
- Lead negotiations and secure contracts with clients and partners, ensuring favourable terms.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure efficient and effective operations across all departments, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
- Lead a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment and providing mentorship.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor performance, and represent the company at trade shows and industry events to enhance the Murphy Geospatial brand.
- Enhance the company’s visibility and reputation within the European market through targeted promotional activities and networking.
**Requirements of the role**:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- **Experience**:
- Several years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in the engineering/construction market in Europe.
- Proficiency in analysing market data and performance metrics.
- Experience in one or all of these key areas; data centres, mission critical, semi-conductor
- **Travel**: Ability to travel throughout Europe where required
- **Language Skills**: Fluency in German & English is required. Proficiency in additional European languages is an advantage.
