State Street is seeking a Corporate Actions Officer for permanent full-time support for our Self Custody Germany Corporate Actions Team in Frankfurt

What you will be responsible for

As an Officer you will be responsible for- The timely and accurate custody notification of Corporate Action events, the timely and accurate processing of security and cash transactions as well as German specific tasks around Corporate Actions in the German market.- Be the first contact for internal inquiries for such events and has direct contact with the depository Clearstream Banking Frankfurt or Lead Agents on CA related questions.- Be responsible for day-to-day execution & operational controls, works independently, has ability to prioritize and manage daily work based on time lines- Identify issues and escalate within the banks risk management framework.- Makes decisions independently- Working with multiple vendor sources likes sub-custodian SWIFT messages, announcements in the Federal Gazette or Wertpapiermitteilungen and is able to prioritize the data of the source.- Participate on projects and committees within the departments responsibility area.

Education & Preferred Qualifications- German banking apprenticeship or equivalent is required- Good Knowledge of all types of securities including but not limited to Stocks, Bonds, Options, Warrants and Subscription Rights- Good background and familiarity with Corporate Actions processes not limited to Germany, Asset Servicing and Settlement processes- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes- Ability to recognize high risk items and escalate those items- Ability to prioritize heavy workloads and work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment- Good proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and SharePoint)
