**The job**

Your focus will be on growing existing top brand suppliers and the acquisition of (new) top brand suppliers as well as new product groups and segments. In addition to acquiring new sales potential, building a solid relationship and a reference network is one of the core tasks. After a thorough induction period, the position is characterized by a high degree of independence in an inspiring and often rapidly changing environment. Team spirit and cooperation is indispensable in order to achieve a good result. Therefore you will be joining the DACH-team in Oosterhout (North-Brabant, Netherlands) every two weeks for two days. **Core tasks**
- Generating new contacts and maintaining existing contacts in order to create a wide range of suppliers based in DACH;
- Negotiating the optimal purchase prices and conditions for the bestselling items;
- Constantly monitoring prices and conditions of the products offered in the countries and chains within DACH but also abroad;
- Follow the market activities and keep updated of “new releases”, with the goal of foreseeing where possible new listings, promotions or stock items may turn up;
- Visiting and attending trade shows and suppliers together with Sales, other (senior) buyers and/or our Purchasing Director;
- Collection of relevant data (samples, logistic information, restrictions) regarding offers on the basis of which the purchasing decision can be made;
- Control, management and coordination of the purchased goods (prices, payment terms, costs, volumes, best before date);
- Solving any quality issues with our Quality Officer;
- Management and coordination of the distribution of the purchased goods, so that they are being sold in the right channels;
- Provide colleagues with purchasing information (transport, sales, administration);
- Create and maintain purchase files;
- Frequent store visit, prospect check;
- Keep update on market movements and carry out market research.

**The profile**
- Minimum Bachelor degree or equivalent with appropriate additional qualification, acquired through education and/or experience;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in purchasing and/or sales in the FMCG industry;
- Your native language is German; besides this your knowledge English is very good (knowledge of other languages, especially Dutch, is an advantage);
- You live in the East or South of Germany;
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis;
- Available for at least 4 days a week (minimum 32 hours);
- xKnowledge of Office (advanced in Excel and PowerPoint is a must have) and an ERP program (Navision would be a plus);
- Analytical, independent and a commercial mindset.
