**Research Associate (M/F/d)**

The position is part time (50%), pay rate E13 TV-L (funded by the German Research Foundation - DFG), for a period of 3 years, with the possibility of extension.

**YOUR FOCUS**:
**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Completed academic Masters level university degree, preferably in the field of Material Science Engineering and/or Physics.
- Extensive experimental experience in the chemical
- and physical vapor deposition (CVD and PVD) synthesis of nanomaterials, in particular, nanowires and nanobelts.
- Extensive experimental experience in optical microscope-assisted manipulation of nanowires and nanobelts.
- Experimental experience in the characterisation of nanomaterials using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM).
- Adequate command of English language, including first author article publications in international journals.
- Theoretical knowledge in the fundamental properties of nanomaterials, with a focus on mechanical properties, for example, Young’s modulus, strength, adhesion, surface roughness, or crystal structure (desirable).
