**Research Associate (M/F/d)**

with the focus on “Passive Microwave circuits design and characterization”

The position is project based (GRAMOP), full time, pay rate E13 TV-L, until 30.04.2026, funded by the DFG.

YOUR FOCUS:
YOUR PROFILE:

- Completed academic Masters level university degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- Theoretical in-depth understanding of electromagnetics.
- Experience with microwave measurements by using VNA and Spectrum analyzer: scattering parameters, modulation/demodulation and BER analysis.
- Experience in the design of microwave components (filters, antennas etc.) analytically, by circuit simulation tools (AWR MWO or similar) and by FEM tools (HFSS preferable).
- Experience with experimental laboratory setups and hardware-software interfacing
- Very good command of English language and very good technical writing skills, demonstrated by at least some first author publications.
- Good command of German language (desirable but not compulsory)
