Finance Process Expert

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Process Expert General Ledger.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our General Ledger Accounting and Month-End Closing processes across Central Europe. As a key member of one of our Finance Shared Service Centers (SSC), you will support 13 Hilti entities in Central and Eastern Europe to unlock new opportunities in accounting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and impact within our finance team.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
- Lead General Ledger-related projects and tool implementations for Hilti’s Shared Service Center in Central Europe.
- Drive process improvements by collaborating with Finance, IT, and delivery teams to enhance the financial close process, reconciliation accuracy, and reporting efficiency.
- Ensure compliance by leveraging technology to maintain financial integrity and governance standards.
- Promote a culture of innovation and change, consistently challenging the status quo.
- Act as a sparring partner for finance teams, linking business decisions to accounting processes and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Support ERP system changes, testing, and upgrades related to GL processes.
- Ensure availability and performance of systems of GL processes and tools (including customizing, authorization concepts, archiving, etc.)
- Provide training and guidance to key users and colleagues on process improvements and system changes.

**Cross-Functional Collaboration & Key Stakeholders**
- Close collaboration with General Ledger Accountants from 13 Hilti entities in Central and Eastern Europe.
- Active participation in regional and global knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Coordination with process experts and functional leads across various business areas, including Indirect Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, Transport, and Materials Management.
- Alignment with Global Process Managers, SSC leadership, local Finance leadership, Corporate Tax, and Global IT.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, IT, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- Demonstrated experience in Finance, project management, operational excellence, or process design with a focus on efficiency.
- Expertise in General Ledger Accounting or related processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4 is a plus.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new technologies and business needs, leveraging tools like BlackLine or Microsoft Power Automate.
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences and foster stakeholder engagement.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Fluent in English and German.
