Team Lead Data Engineering

**What you'll do**:

- You will proactively drive the vision for the marketing data landscape at Emma and define and execute on a plan to achieve that vision.
- You will drive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production.
- You will provide guidance, support and mentoring to the data engineers in the team and contribute to their technical growth.
- You will contribute to the improvement of our data engineering practices.
- You will play a key role in supporting us attract, develop and retain great talent.
- You will do leadership activities which include performance appraisals, regular 1on1's, resource and capacity planning.

**Who we're looking for**:

- You have a university degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics or similar field.
- You have several years of proven experience as a Data Engineer.
- You have experience in leading a data team.
- You have experience with cloud services, ideally AWS (knowledge in Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue, etc. would be a plus).
- You have experience with different tools for ETL processes and process orchestration (preferably Matillion, dbt, Apache Airflow).
- You have worked with message-based integration technologies (like SQS/ SNS).
- You have prior knowledge of implementing Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi or Terraform.
- You have proven experience with the implementation of data warehousing architectures and layers.
- You have proven experience in delivering solutions from design to production using Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and are able to break down design into meaningful tasks.
- You have a good knowledge of cloud infrastructure virtualization with Kubernetes & Docker.
- You have experience in leading a data team.
- You have an understanding of the importance of well-organized codebase and documentation.
- You are highly self-organized and interested in taking over ownership and bringing the team to the best solution.
- You have strong analytical skills and are an open-minded and creative team player.
