Wholesale Digital Lead Germany

**INTRODUCTION**
The role of the Wholesale Digital Team Lead is to manage the strategic direction and stakeholders of Global Payments Solutions' portfolio of Interactive and Direct channels (i.e. HSBCnet and mobile, HSBC Connect, Client integration technologies, SWIFTnet, APIs and local Digital Channels such as Internet Banking/Multiversa and EBICS) and helping deliver the next generation e-commerce products, propositions and functionalities to meet the needs of our customers.

Digital is a globally aligned Commercial Banking business focused on Wholesale client needs. The Digital Team Leader Germany locally reports to the Head of GPS Germany and is also part of the German GPS Leadership Team. From a functional perspective, the job holder reports to the Wholesale Digital Head Europe and is also collaborating with the Digital team globally.

To strengthen our team in Düsseldorf, we are looking for someone to fill the following position with immediate effect: Wholesale Digital Lead Germany (m/w/d)

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**
- Manage the strategic direction and stakeholders of Wholesale Digital’s portfolio of electronic banking channels (i.e. HSBCnet and mobile, HSBC Connect, Client integration technologies, SWIFTnet, APIs and local Digital Channels such as Internet banking/Multiversa and EBICS)
- Work with the various stakeholders to understand and shape the Digital strategy in Germany to support their customer’s digital needs
- Manage the commercialisation activities of the Digital proposition
- Ensure all client facing activities such as product roll outs, RFP responses and client events are delivered to a high standard
- Define and prioritise e-commerce products, propositions and functionalities which are flexible, scalable, simple and consistent to meet the needs of our wholesale customers
- Help achieve the Bank’s objective to digitise at scale by driving digital commercialisation to replace paper or telephone; e-penetration targets; controlling Run The Bank (RTB) and Change The Bank (CTB) costs for Germany
- Stay abreast of market trends and benchmark Wholesale Digital Channels to deliver best in class customer experience
- Lead and develop the Digital Team (2 FTE) in Germany
- Support with SME knowledge and steer for projects from a Digital perspective
- Act as lead for ongoing transformation of the EB Services team (reporting to Global Payments Solutions Germany) into group service teams and ensure proper management of remaining local activities where required due to remaining local platforms and processes in Germany.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- A completed training in banking and ideally a completed study of economics (focusing on banking, business information, computer science and/or business finance)
- Extensive expertise in relevant payment and electronic banking systems
- Good understanding of the requirements of treasury and financial accounting
- Knowledge of the organization, management and execution of projects
- Experience in human resources management and a high level of leadership skills
- Strong service orientated mentality, ability to work in a team and good communication skills internally and externally
- Negotiating skills at all levels in the organization
- High level of creativity, a strong sense and knowledge of technological innovations and trends, such as APIs, robotics, DLT
- Ability to work conceptually and strategically
- Analytical thinking and high problem-solving skills, as well as a confident handling of obstacles and conflicts
- A high degree of flexibility and resilience
- Good PC user knowledge of MS Office packages as well as databases
- Very good knowledge of the German and English language
