**Your role**:
As (Senior) Expert Human Rights, you will be responsible for the integration of Human Rights as a key cross-cutting issue in all relevant business processes. You will provide strong leadership and an overall strategic vision on Human Rights and provide guidance and support on all matters affecting Human Rights. Your responsibilities will include conducting human rights due diligence, i.e. risk assessment, management of a risk register, preventive measures, remedial measures and complaints procedure. You will evaluate compliance with our Human Rights Charter and develop, implement and monitor group wide plans to achieve continuous improvement. You will be in charge of setting up performance indicators and documentation for internal management as well as external reporting in compliance with regulatory and other international standards and frameworks. To support capacity and knowledge building, you will e.g. coordinate and support trainings on Human Rights related matters.
**Who you are**:
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as law, international relations, conflict studies, sustainability
- 3 years professional experience in the area of human rights
- Good working knowledge of international human rights standards in relation to business practices (e.g. UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, Supply Chain Due Diligence Act), of international organizations and industry initiatives active in human rights
- Ability to manage complex topics and cross-functional projects
- Team player with a global mind-set and the ability to collaborate and interact effectively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to distill and translate complex concepts into concrete information
- Proven to be a self-starter and results oriented
- Structured and self-directed way of working.
- Proficient in English and German
