As an intern in Product Index - Global Investable Benchmarks, you will have the unique opportunity to gain insight into the think tank responsible for the ideation and development of new benchmark and strategy indices, as well as the improvement and advancement of existing products, including all Deutsche Börse and STOXX benchmark indices, such as the DAX, the STOXX Europe 600 and the Euro STOXX 50. Qontigo calculates more than 10,000 indices, operates all Deutsche Börse and STOXX Ltd. indices, as well as provides over 300 asset managers, asset owners, hedge funds, wealth managers and sell-side firms with risk modeling and analytics solutions. STOXX and DAX indices are licensed to more than 500 companies worldwide to serve as underlyings for funds, structured products and derivatives. Furthermore, customers use indices as market indicators and benchmarks for the performance of investment products and/or portfolios.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the team in the development of new indices and investment strategies
- Participate in the improvement and maintenance of existing flagship benchmark indices, such as the DAX, the STOXX Europe 600 and the Euro STOXX 50
- Perform research and provide quantitative and qualitative analyses to foster decision making
- Assist with the creation of product presentations and marketing materials
- Contribute to the advancement and development of existing and new calculation and analysis tools

**Requirements**:

- Enrolled in a recognized university program during the internship
- Pursuing a master's degree (preferably in finance, economics, mathematics or a related field), or be in the final year of studies of a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline
- Strong analytical skills and an affinity for capital markets and financial products
- Knowledge of programming languages (Python, VBA, MATLAB, SQL) would be desirable
- Experience working with financial data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently and manage time and projects efficiently
- Solid command of written and verbal English; knowledge of German language would be advantageous
