**Duties**:
- Serves as the Security Manager (SM), Special Security Representative (SSR), Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO), Foreign Disclosure Representative (FDR), Physical Security Officer (PSO) and Trusted Agent.
- Provides continuing oversight over all security programs, determines and grants security access based on clearances, and provides recommendations to local GISA director on security clearances and access.
- Maintains a comprehensive security program to protect unit Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), collateral and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) at all areas of responsibility.
- Establishes methodology for solving complex problems and undertakes appropriate planning to consider potential problems.
- Reviews operations, evaluates program effectiveness by review of reports, and discussion with subordinates, then takes action to correct deficiencies noted, and also make recommendations for improvements in procedures which affect other operations.
- Evaluates policy and the introduction of new security technologies while assessing the effectiveness of intelligence processing and dissemination systems and recommending modifications where needed.
- Identifies, provides training, guidance, and support to GISA personnel to improve security awareness, in order to determine operational, personnel and equipment vulnerabilities requiring protection.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
**To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS-12 that prepared you to do this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with 1. Interpreting multi-discipline security policy, 2. Conducting security investigations for granting access to sensitive information, AND 3. Act as Foreign Disclosure Representative by overseeing the release of information to foreign entities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GG/GS-12).**
