We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant (M/F/d), based in Munich.

**Your Team**
At AGCS our Global Insurance & Technical Closing department provides timely, reliable, high quality financial information to management, Allianz Group, Regulators, and the general public through external reporting.

**The Impact You Will Have**
- Reporting to the Head of Global Technical Accounting Standards & Quality you will monitor and continuously improve the data quality of the insurance technical balance sheet and P&L globally. An important part of this role is identification of the root cause of data quality issues and the development of sustainable remediation. You will play a key role in effectively communicating “impacts” and “actions” to stakeholders and create efficient compliant workflows through your careful consideration of transactions and processes This role is essential in providing support to the global technical accounting team and the full automation of the technical closing process. You will have the opportunity to drive forward technical accounting projects with a specific focus on data quality, e.g. migrations, integrations, balance sheet reconciliations and process alignments and compliance to all relevant GAAPs.
- This is a great role for someone with an established accounting career and who has built the confidence and experience to work independently within a global environment.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**
- Ensure that all IFRS17, Solvency II, local GAAP and Statutory closing and reporting tasks such as annual report, reporting to regulatory authorities, internal/external reporting requirements related to own area of responsibility are accurate and timely on a global basis.
- Monitors and continuously improves the data quality of the insurance technical balance sheet and P&L globally. Ensure ledger differences are kept to the absolute minimum. Identify the root cause of data quality issues and develop a sustainable remediation. Clearly communicate impacts and actions to relevant stakeholders. Implement and refine the technical accounting process for Solvency II and IFRS17 (this is an Allianz internal system)
- Assist internal clients (e.g. other departments) with reports, research and other activities. Identify items or discussion or resolution
- Project work as assigned
- Manage relationship and show high customer focus in dealing with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Finance business units such as Actuarial and Controlling, Group Accounting, auditors, tax authorities, public authorities etc.).

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
- Solid experience in P&C insurance accounting, financial audit, controlling or similar financial area.
- Proven understanding of standard accounting IFRS17, Solvency II and other local GAAPs in insurance and reinsurance.
- Ability to handle complex processes (closing, reporting, finance operations) including understanding of data flows.
- Outstanding analytical skills with ability to analyze complex data / information from multiple sources
- Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority Experience in managing complex projects across international organizations
- Strong solution orientated
- Fluent English skills
