**Overview**:
This position plays a fundamental role in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Responsible for sales performance in those regions _not_ served by our network of distribution partners, the Export Sales Specialist is tasked with growing Biotechnology instrumentation business by uncovering and managing sales opportunities directly and in concert with regional resellers across the AAA territory. Working closely alongside the Director of International Distribution, the Distribution & Export Sales Specialist will manage all incoming sales enquiries, document customer interactions and ensure full US Export Compliance.

**Professional Qualifications**:
**Education**

B.S. degree or equivalent in a life science related field such as molecular biology, biochemistry or cell biology.

**Experience**

**General**
- Inside sales experience, including strong negotiation skills.
- Dynamic telephone presence.
- Experience dealing with culturally diverse, international customers and resellers preferred.
- Experience with Personal Computers: basic experience with various operating systems (Windows, Macintosh), Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, SalesForce, SharePoint.

**Position Responsibilities**:
**Specific**
- Provide product presentations to individual customers, small groups and resellers via MS Teams.
- Actively prospect for new business opportunities and stay informed about key accounts, funding and socioeconomic factors affecting regional business potential.
- Provide pricing information and formal quotations to prospective customers and resellers.
- Maintain regular contact with instrument sales prospects and resellers to facilitate sales growth.
- Achieve / exceed quarterly sales targets.
- Constantly create and optimize approach to inbound and outbound lead processes in order to positively affect business outcomes.
- Manage the complete AAA Export sales process and handle basic price inquiries, ensuring full US Export Compliance.
- Process & qualify incoming leads according to work instruction.
- Maintain CRM system, including sales leads, customer and instrument installation information.
- Manage marketing materials for AAA region (brochures, exhibition materials, promotional materials).
- Working closely with the Director of International Distribution to assist in the organization of distributor meetings, trainings, trade shows and monitor training centre engagement / activity.
- Assist with implementation of marketing plan (promotions, campaigns, websites etc.) for AAA
- Collect and review market needs, trends and competitive tactics.
- Provide monthly reports as directed
