The Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) is a member of the Helmholtz Association (HGF) and funded by federal and state government. AWI focuses on polar and marine research in a variety of disciplines such as biology, oceanography, geology, geochemistry and geophysics thus allowing multidisciplinary approaches to scientific goals. - Student assistant / internship or Bachelor-thesis (M/F/d): "The effect of glucose in a mixotrophic culture of cyanobacteria Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) and its effect on the quality of the commercially relevant pigments" **Background** The project “MixoArthroPigment” aims for the mixotrophic cultivation of _Spirulina _( _Arthrospira platensis_) using glucose as a carbon source is an innovative proposed solution to produce low chlorophyll concentrated biomass that could be used in food industry as a high-protein supplement. **Tasks** Laboratory and at farm validation trials involving Spirulina growth under specific physical and chemical parameters. **Requirements**: **Further Information** The place of employment will be **27570 Bremerhaven** Start: as soon as possible **You are interested?** For further information please contact
