**Position overview**:
We are looking for a Regional Procurement Director to lead our regional procurement organization with deliverables articulated around cost leadership, working capital optimization, and continuity of supply, driving such procurement excellence in a sustainable approach, while embracing new technologies, in the context of a global market.

**Responsibilities**:
The regional procurement director will:

- Set and drive alignment on a regional procurement strategy in line with corporate and global procurement strategies.
- Set and drive implementation and achievement on the regional procurement targets which will include:

- managing supply risks to ensure undisruptive productions across all sites supplied;
- set and align on procurement savings targets with all stakeholders and drive delivery;
- working capital targets including payment terms optimization and VMI implementation;
- challenging and optimize sourcing strategies for key spend categories;
- Drive collaborative leadership to facilitate best practices sharing across regions, agility and change management on new sourcing options, open dialogues with all stakeholders.
- Drive Excellence in procurement in the region, and contribute to corporate agendas on Sustainability and Digitalization in collaboration with the Procurement Excellence Director.
- Develop the organizational capability of the regional procurement team through talent recruitment, training, and coaching.

**Required skills and experience**:

- Eight (8) years of procurement management experience in a global company in the chemicals industry, coatings experience a plus. Procurement experience can be partially compensated by equivalent business or commercial management experiences.
- Solid understanding of the petrochemicals feedstocks and raw materials markets, including supply demand balances and supplier cost drivers.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial contracting experiences.
- Highly effective communicator, with strong influencing and conflict resolution skills.
- Dynamic and inspiring people leader, who can lead virtual teams.
- Strong analytical skills including excel sheet and pivot table proficiency. SAP experiences required.
- Fluent in English (Additional languages are a plus).
- Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally 50% of the time.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in chemical engineering or Ph. D in Chemistry.
- Master’s degree in economics, engineering or MBA.
