The role

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior Accountant to join our growing Accountant team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing accounting operations across multiple entities or business units in our DACH/UK region, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the execution of financial processes. You will play a vital role in streamlining accounting functions and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting a centralized and integrated approach to financial reporting and accounting practices.

How You'll Make an Impact- Oversee the accounting functions including general ledger management, accounts payable/receiva-ble, and financial statement preparation for multiple entities within the Zühlke Group.- Ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and reflected in the financial systems in com-pliance with internal controls and accounting standards (local GAAP).- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion for the responsible entities.- Oversee account reconciliations, ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.- Be main contact for local Auditors.- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, as well as organizational ac-counting policies and procedures.- Mentor to junior accountants and accounting staff within our shared service center.

What's important to us- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).- Proven experience in accounting or finance- Previous experience in a senior accounting role within a shared service center environment or similar centralized finance structure.- Strong experience with financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliation pro-cesses in a multi-entity or multi-national setup.- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/HGB) and financial reporting.- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP S4/Hana, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.- Excellent German and English language.
