In order to strengthen our development of a new, miniaturized infrared spectrometer, we are looking for you as an energetic Analytical Scientist who loves to work hands-on in the lab building up test experiments and who thrives on analyzing the complex experimental spectroscopic data. The position is embedded in a small but powerful team and it requires an independent way of working along with a decision-based way of thinking. With your analytical skills, you will develop solutions to improve the product and identify untapped potentials. As a deep-tech startup, we are looking for truly multi-talented individuals.
- Mandatory requirements:_
- Education: Masters degree (M.Sc.) in physics or related fields.
- Professional experience: Minimum three years in industry or a PhD in experimental natural sciences with expertise in computer-driven data analysis and spectroscopy.
- Way of working: Hands-on mentality in the laboratory (solution-oriented, self-motivated, autonomous, analytical) with a focus on the product.
- Analysis skills: Expert knowledge of script-based data processing of complex spectra consisting of various components (python).
- Language skills: English C1 level or B2 level when in combination with German C1 level.
- Team work: Good communication skills and conclusive data presentation.
- General skills: Conscientiousness, reliability, self-reliance, and conciseness.
- Location: Willingness to work mainly on site in Berlin-Adlershof.
- Legal: Work permit in Germany.
- Preferred requirements:_
Specialist knowledge (the more the better): Infrared spectroscopy, photoacoustic spectroscopy, molecular spectroscopy, optical spectroscopy, machine learning algorithms for spectral analysis
