**About the position**

Postdoc (M/F/d)
Time-resolved Cathodoluminescence Spectroscopy

**Your responsibilities**
- Characterize and benchmark the new time-resolved cathodoluminescence setup
- (TR)CL spectroscopy of 2D materials and oxide semiconductors, as well as correlated
analytical SEM studies
- Publication of results in relevant journals and presentation at scientific conferences
- Contribute measurements to collaborations with internal and external partners
- Communication with collaborating research groups
- Support PhD and Master students in their lab work and data analysis tasks

**Your profile**
- PhD in experimental solid state physics
- Scientific track record with first author publications and conference presentations
- Experience with semiconductor materials characterization using electron microscopy and
(cathodo)luminescence spectroscopy
- Complementary experience with electron backscatter diffraction, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and/or electron-beam-induced current measurements desirable
- Proficiency in data analysis using python
- Motivated team player with a high level of communication skills

**Position and salary**
This position is available from March 2025 and is is limited to a 10-month period initially, with a possibility for extension in case the project is extended.

Salary and benefits are according to the Treaty for German public service (TVöD Bund) to a level of E13, taking work experience and special professional skills into account.
