Our client Ascent is a pan-European software & data group with a mission: to support midmarket and enterprise customers in their digital transformation. 500 Ascent employees ensure that companies large and small connect their data, software and goals to achieve exceptional results for themselves. Headquartered in the UK with additional locations in Bulgaria, Malta and Portugal, Ascent's portfolio (software development, cloud, analytics and data science) is already a market leader in the UK market. Following the acquisition of a medium-sized software (consulting) company in Munich, Ascent will now also establish itself in Germany and enrich the German market with its strong portfolio.

The existing founder-managed Munich-based company with around 75 employees is looking for an enthusiastic tech sales professional (M/F/d) with a leadership function to expand their management team and to successfully position Ascent in Germany and achieve a sales growth of more than 20% year on year.

Aufgaben

As Head of Sales (M/F/d) B2B Tech Sales you will be responsible for the sales strategy and its successful implementation with a small team, including
- Lead generation: You will set out a lead generation strategy that creates an ongoing and sustainable volume of high quality leads for the business. It is expected the role will be hands on with strong proactive approaches to lead generation through diverse means
- Opportunity development: You will develop an opportunity through the sales stages. It is expected that you will be self sufficient in the early stages of the sales cycle with the ability to strongly position the business, understand the customer requirements and frame a high-level approach to digital transformation that utlises Ascent services
- Proposal creation: Once the opportunity is fully qualified, you will work alongside pre-sales and delivery resources to create high quality proposals for new and existing customers. The founders will play a key role at this stage to propose the appropriate services so it is important that the opportunity is real, correctly aligned to Ascent's capabilities and the customer is actively engagement
- Commercial: You will take a lead on the commercial and pricing negotiation with customers. It will be helpful if you have experience selling professional services and understand different contractual models to review with customers. Legal support will be provided from the business
- Partner: You will establish and maintain a successful relationship with key partners (expected to be Microsoft and Databricks). These relationships are likely to be sales led initially with a medium-term goal of extending the relationship into the Ascent delivery organisation
- Account Management: You will take a lead on implementing an effective account management structure for existing and new customers. The Ascent CCO will support you based on experience of developing a similar model in the UK alongside strategic input from the founders
- Recruitment: Over time, you will recruit, build, manage and develop a small go to market sales team at the Munich location
- Cadence: You will plan and ensure the achievement of defined sales metrics through accurate CRM management and forecasting into management.

Qualifikation
- You are a self-starter with experience in both start up environments and enterprise sales environments
- You have experience selling technology professional services to mid market and enterprise clients
- You are a B2B (tech) sales professional with proven success in lead generation and development of sales channels, partnerships and customers
- You are a builder and have a desire to shape and make sales successful hands-on with a high degree of freedom to act
- You bring energy, passion and creativity and value an entrepreneurial founder-led agile culture
- You have experience building and leading sales teams
- You have excellent communication and consulting skills and credibly represent the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation
- You have business fluent language skills in German and English
- You are willing to travel nationwide
