Industry experts report that 20 percent of global mobile ad spend can be identified as fraud. adjoe’s Anti-Fraud team has both validated this number and prevented fraudulent users from entering partners’ ad spend.

The team’s software includes two major components.
1) A distributed backend system that provides different interfaces to partners, modern cloud infrastructure, and a dashboard to visualize insights.
2) A unique mobile SDK that analyzes device features to detect modifications.

With no one-size-fits-all solution, the Anti-Fraud team works with a large set of features. From detecting attempts based on data with static patterns, using proprietary solutions to detect software manipulation, marking network traffic abnormalities, and identifying when to warn or even block requests.

What You Will Do
- Contribute to the development of our anti-fraud backend written +99% in Go and maintain our microservice architecture used to communicate with our mobile frontend. To do this, you’ll use event buses like Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis in order to have reliable asynchronous microservice communication.
- Work with modern databases such as DynamoDB or ScyllaDB to deliver response times in milliseconds.
- Work on our Android library to detect manipulations or spoofing via Xposed or Magisk where a lot of the work will be experimentation on mobile devices.
- Work in a community of developers with whom you’ll share knowledge and contribute to peer code reviews.
- Continuously improve our fraud detection systems to stay on top of changes in the Android platform.
- Maintain a healthy dose of skepticism to spot anomalies in large pools of user-generated data.
- Investigate dynamic challenges that may threaten advertiser and publisher performance.
- Be responsible for collecting the billions of daily API events and aggregating them in our Kafka and Kinesis streams with the goal of querying them from the data lake in a matter of seconds.
- Be part of an international English-speaking team dedicated to scaling our adtech platform beyond our hundreds of millions of monthly active users.
- Lead a team of anti-fraud specialists: both Developers & Analysts with whom you will improve our fraud prevention system.

Who You Are
- You have gained several years of experience as a software architect/senior software developer.
- You have an outstanding experience with PHP, Java, Go, or C# applied in a professional backend environment.
- You have experience with Android development or have an interest to develop your knowledge and skills also in this direction.
- You feel comfortable managing people and have previously worked in a leadership role in a fast-changing environment.
- You have basic knowledge of Go and are eager to become a Go expert quickly.
- You are an expert in different technologies - for example, in 2 programming languages.
- You thoroughly understand cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Plus: You have basic knowledge of HTML5, and JavaScript (preferably of 1 framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular).
