**OUR ROLE**

TOMRA’s sensor-based solutions play a key role in optimizing resource productivity, particularly in the fields of waste management and recycling, where sensor-based technology can be used to increase precision and streamline processes.

To achieve the ambitious aim of a circular economy, it is necessary to employ state-of-the-art approaches that push boundaries, and TOMRA’s reverse vending and waste sorting solutions help to achieve this by recovering materials and providing valuable insight into the composition of these materials.

The result is a greater understanding of where efficiencies can be made to minimize costs and waste, and better utilize resources within a closed loop - further mitigating the impact of CO2 and other emissions and inefficiencies.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of motivated and skilled developers, who cover a diversity of backgrounds and topics like optics, analog electronics, embedded systems, software engineering, mechanical engineering, 3D printing, and image processing. Our team has a friendly, humorous, and inspiring way of interacting, collaborates closely and is passionate about technology and innovation.

**Your Tasks**
- Testing of spectroscopic acquisition systems and their components
- Calibration and alignment of test setups
- Assembly of prototypes, calibration setups, and experiments

**Qualifications**:

- Student in electrical engineering, optical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics or similar
- Widespread technical interest
- Analytical and systematic approach
- Determination and enthusiasm for innovative solutions
- Experiences with optics, analog electronics or programming languages like C++ or Python are a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills in German and/or English
