Our Studio partners with entrepreneurs at day one, developing new ideas, technologies and business models into high growth companies. In our Germany Studio, we’re now exploring concepts at the intersection of fintech and real estate. We’re looking for an experienced operator with entrepreneurial ambitions to lead a new venture as Founder & CEO with our investment and the full backing of Founders Factory.
**The Opportunity: A Platform for Rental Rewards**
Rent payment is the biggest share of wallet expense but is rarely leveraged, neither on the consumer nor the rent-collection side. While rent payments in Germany typically account for around 25% to 40% or more of a household's monthly income, renters are rarely rewarded for timely payment or accrue any rewards on this spend amount.
We’re currently exploring the following concept: A neo-bank for renters with a unique engagement mechanism to incentivise usage and positive financial behaviours.
- Incentives toward positive behaviour e.g. holding a month’s worth of rent on the platform as an emergency fund
- Unique data enabling personalised loans, and credit offers
- A marketplace of affiliate products and services within the app e.g. insurance, cleaning etc. where tickets can be exchanged for special offers
- Use of the pooled capital flows to offer landlords benefits like guaranteed rent payments and portfolio analytics

**What we're looking for**:
- Experienced founder, builder or operator, capable of operating from zero to one
- Unique market insight, top 1% skills or other advantage that makes you a suitable and compelling fintech founder
- Proven ability to build a world-class team, attract customers and investors
- Evidence of thriving in ambiguous environments and a high aptitude for calculated risks
- A clear vision for the opportunity (including product direction) - with the drive and expertise to execute on it
- High IQ and EQ - strong opinions loosely held
- Deep understanding of the German market and German language skills (fluency)
