**Zoom** Größer Kleiner - The Faculty of Sociology has the following job opening: - Research Position - ID: - **Wiss22758** - Start: as soon as possible - part-time 65 % - salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L - fixed-term - The position is part of the DFG-funded project "Deciphering epigenetic changes related to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in the longitudinal TwinLifecohort", which is a cooperation project with psychology, molecular genetics, and epigenetic/medicine. We investigate whether and which experiences during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, especially pandemic-related physical, psychological, and social stressors and coping resources, go under the skin and lead to epigenetic changes. We combine new additional surveys related to pandemic-induced experiences with the ongoing surveys of the TwinLifestudy and new molecular genetic and epigenetic data based on a series of saliva samples. The position is also linked to the project "Genetic and Social Causes of Life Success: More Precise Modelling of Educational Success and Social Mobility through Molecular Genetic Data in TwinLife", which funds the position to one third.- Your Tasks - Research tasks mainly include: - construction of indicators for experiences during the pandemic as well as of former experiences with stress and coping (40 %) - conducting data analyses on the interplay between social, psychic, and biological mechanisms in the genesis of epigenetic changes (30 %) - analyses on social inequalities using polygenic scores of skills, educational, and status attainment (30 %) The employment is designed to encourage further academic qualification. - We offer - salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L - fixed-term (36 months) (- 2 (1) sentence 1 of the WissZeitVG; in accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVG and the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of contract may differ in individual cases) - part-time 65 % - internal and external training opportunities - wide range of health, consulting and prevention service - reconcilability of family and working life - flexible working hours - job ticket for regional public transport network - collegial working environment - open and pleasant working atmosphere - Your Profile We expect - scientific university degree (e. g.
