Pure is blazing trails and setting records: - For nine straight years, Gartner has named Pure a leader in the Magic Quadrant - Our customer-first culture and unwavering commitment to innovation have earned us a certified Net Promoter Score in the top 1% of B2B companies globally - Industry analysts and press applaud Pure's leadership across these dimensions - And, our 5,000+ employees are emboldened to make Pure a faster, stronger, smarter company as we go If you, like us, say "bring it on" to exciting challenges that change the world, we have endless opportunities where you can make your mark. **SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...** - Provide a creative and compassionate, yet business-related, approach to advice and counseling on a broad spectrum of employment-related issues spanning the employment relationship life cycle (from recruitment to alum and everything in-between, from drafting and revising employment-related documents like offer letters, employment contracts, and separation agreements; to providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, discipline, and leaves of absence; to assessing contingent workforce risks; and working collaboratively with outside counsel). - Be a strong advocate for fairness, integrity, and above all, doing the right thing. - While you won't be appearing before tribunals much, you will be responding to employment claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment-related inquiries and litigation. - Be proactive and creative when it comes to mitigating and resolving employee relations issues. Use the opportunity to identify patterns and root causes and drive effective and positive organizational change. - Dust off your Sherlock Holmes hat because you'll partner closely with our HR team to investigate highly sensitive and confidential matters. You must demonstrate the ability to exercise utmost discretion, excellent judgment, and the highest integrity. - Have a can-do philosophy when it comes to Pure's practices, policies, and processes to assess and execute priorities, revise as needed, and ensure compliance. - Monitor substantive developments in the ever-changing world of employment law across and have the ability to transform that knowledge into easy-to-understand and actionable advice. - Be curious and open to learning. We have offices all over the world and continue to grow. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with local counsel in a number of jurisdictions to advise our global HR team while dipping your toes into some really interesting international employment issues. **WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...** - Qualified lawyer in at least one European jurisdiction in which Pure has significant headcount (preferably the UK, Czech Republic, Ireland, or Germany). - Substantial legal post-qualification experience practicing labour and employment law in Europe and the Middle East, including detailed knowledge and experience of labour & employment law in several European jurisdictions, with a preference for experience in the UK, Czech Republic, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands. - Fluency in English, including ability to draft, negotiate, and present legal and business documents. Additional language capabilities can also be an advantage. - In-house experience is highly preferred, but not required. - Eagerness to learn employment law across Europe and around the globe. - Have the ability to quickly establish trusted relationships with your internal clients. Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively with a growing legal team and cross-functionally with Puritans at all levels of our organization. - Ability to listen thoughtfully, evaluate risk in light of business and practical considerations, make clear recommendations. - Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibit grace under pressure. Be comfortable operating in sometimes stressful situations. - Don't be afraid to think outside the box and come up with new ideas to build a better Pure.
