Doctoral Researcher/PhD
The position is offered for a period of 3 years, if no former times of qualification must be considered. The starting date is as soon as possible. The position is part-time (65 % of regular working hours) with salary and benefits commensurate with a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 13, 65 %).
This is a fully-funded Ph.D. position in a DFG-funded project that investigates the role of the IL-23 / L-23R axis in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
**Tasks**:

- scientific services in research and teaching
- investigation of the regulation of T cell activation (mouse and human)
- investigation of the role of T cell populations in mouse models of pancreatic carcinoma and using patient material
- collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- supervision of practical work by students
- presenting findings at international conferences and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals

The position is limited to a time period deemed adequate for the completion of a doctoral degree. As part of the assigned duties, there will be ample opportunity to conduct the independent scientific research necessary for the completion of a doctorate. The limitation complies to - 2, 1 WissZeitVG.
**Profile**:

- MSc-degree or equivalent in cancer biology, molecular biology/medicine, immunology, microbiology or a related field
- experience in immunological techniques (flow cytometry and transcriptome analysis of T cells)
- experience in work with cell cultures and use of up-to-date methods in molecular biology (qPCR, cloning) and microscopy
- experience in animal experiments (FELASA certification desirable)
- experience in immunoblotting and histologcal analysis

Disposition to own scientific qualification is expected.
