**The Team**:
This team is part of R&D where our In-the-Ear hearing aids are developed. Our team consists of professionals in mechanical design.

We are driven by innovation and development so working with us is a constant learning curve. You will be located in our site in Erlangen, Germany with dynamic and progressive colleagues, who are highly skilled and empathetic.

**The Role**:
As a Product Developer Mechanical Design you will work closely with other R&D teams, like electro-acoustic, wireless experts, audiology, etc. but also teams in other functions like quality management or marketing. Some of them are distributed over multiple geographical locations, for instance Denmark and Singapore.

You will report to our Head of R&D ITE MD.

In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

- Execution of conceptual work during product architecture phase and within Forefront-projects in the field of mechanics
- Hardware development of hearing aids and their features
- Realize mechanical design and drawings in MCAD with special attention to tolerance analysis, industrial design and tooling realization
- Material selection with corresponding experts and collaboration with tool makers and suppliers
- System integration of hearing aids in regards of mechanical engineering and design
- BOM creation and maintenance in PLM system
- Evaluation and verification via measurement of components and interfaces
- Development of component tests incl. test equipment
- Creation, review and release of test specifications and test reports
- Support of production transfer and product ramp up

You most likely fit the following profile:

- University degree with technical background, ideally in field of mechanical engineering or mechatronics
- Minimum 3 years professional experience as (product) developer
- Experience in CAD development (e.g. CREO)
- Basic experience in material properties and selection (desirable plastic materials)
- Basic experience in ePLM systems is desirable
- Experience in area of medical technology is beneficial
- Basic experience in mold construction, tolerance analysis and series production is preferable
- Technical leadership experience is beneficial
- Well-structured and organized way of working
