Accounting Team Lead

This role is part of our Central Finance Team at saas.group. **What is saas.group?**: **Profile Overview**: The Accounting Team Lead will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting team, which includes three direct reports. This role involves performing consolidation and accounting of group-internal transactions, overseeing the monthly close process (in some cases in coordination with external accounting firms), and developing the group's accounting policies, processes and systems. **Your responsibilities**: - **Team Management**: Lead and manage a team of three accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. - **Consolidation and Group-Internal Transactions**: Perform consolidation of financial statements and manage accounting for group-internal transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. - **Monthly Close Process**: Oversee the monthly close process, including coordination with external accounting firms to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - **Accounting Policy Development**:Develop and implement group accounting policies to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization. - **Auditor Cooperation**: Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, facilitating audit processes and ensuring the timely provision of required documentation and information. - **Process and System Development**: Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems, leading initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. - **Compliance and Reporting**:Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations, and prepare accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. - **Collaboration with Leadership**: Report directly to the Director of Accounting and Tax, and occasionally work together with the CFO on strategic financial projects and initiatives. **What You bring to the table**: - **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. - **Experience**: Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. - **Technical Skills**: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (HGB, US-GAAP), experience with consolidation, and proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. - **Leadership Skills**:Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team. - **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages are a plus), with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including senior management and external auditors. - **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. - **Adaptability**: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. **What's in it for You**: - **Ultimate flexibility**: We're 100% remote.
