**Job Description** Would you like to provide safety and health support to the development of wind and solar and become an important part in paving the way for Vattenfall towards a fossil free future?**

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join us as a **Health & Safety Specialist** in an international environment to advise and support the development of onshore wind and solar projects.

You will proactively support the project and procurement management by providing leadership whilst also demonstrating and promoting a responsible attitude towards health and safety.

As **Health & Safety Specialist** your role is instrumental in enhancing health and safety practices within our development projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement the Business Area Wind HSE Management System. Additionally, you will drive contractor cooperation and evaluation.

With a focus on continuous improvement, you will prioritize targets and influence industry best practices, showcasing your expertise in H&S legislation and regulations. Your tasks and responsibilities encompass effective collaboration and adherence to Vattenfall's values and code of conduct.

As **Health & Safety Specialist** you will also contribute to ensure that Vattenfall and their contractors comply with health & safety legislation, Vattenfall standards and customer and site requirements.

BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction and operation of wind power onshore and offshore as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar and batteries projects. We manage the design & development, construction, maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with overall wind strategy.

**Location**
The work location can be in Hamburg in Germany. Some occasional travel (10 to 20 days per year) can be expected.
**Qualifications** For succeeding in the role**

Furthermore you have:

- A relevant academic background in the field of Health & Safety, Engineer or similar
- Relevant work experience in H&S in development projects
- Experience in H&S in the renewables preferable wind onshore and/or solar
- Knowledge of safety management
- Full and detailed understanding of applicable H&S related legislation
- Experience in managing contractors as clients and/or principal contractors
- Excellent communication skills in English as well as in the local language German
