**JOB DESCRIPTION**
This position sits within J.P. Morgan’s leading Investment Banking M&A team, based in Frankfurt. This is a new and exciting opportunity to further grow a new business vertical in the DACH region focused on mid-cap deals (around €250mm to €2bn enterprise value) in close partnership with country, industry, and other product teams, in particular with the local Investment Banking and Commercial Banking teams.

**Job responsibilities**
- Build complex financial models and preparing valuation, merger and other analytical exercises
- Draft presentation materials, management & Board materials, Memoranda, and other presentation for use in M&A transactions or strategic client dialogue
- Keep abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the latest developments in the structuring and execution of M&A transactions
- Closely collaborate with various industry, country and other product colleagues during origination and execution stages
- Transaction execution specific responsibilities:

- Generally helping with organising and project managing M&A process
- Supporting due diligence, deal documentation and announcement preparation
- Regularly liaising with relevant counterparts at the client / other advisers, and in some cases - respective regional regulators

**Required qualifications, capabilities and skills**
- Several years of full-time Investment Banking experience with a leading bank or advisory boutique
- Proven financial analysis and modelling skills, incl. LBO and DCF valuation
- Demonstrate interest in and focus on M&A structuring
- Demonstrate communication and project management skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other lines of business
- Eagerness to learn, develop and grow within corporate finance. Self-directed, entrepreneurial, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- Proven understanding of transaction cycle and execution process steps as well as broader investment banking products (i.e., capital markets M&A financing, staple financing, preferable, can be enhanced and further built via on-the-job training)
- Fluency in German and English, and other European languages a plus
