**The Position**: As the global Data Domain Owner Employee, you are the ultimately responsible person for all Business Data Architecture-related activities and decision around the Domain “Employee”. This senior position is responsible for the entire Data Model around our internal and external workforce: All objects, metadata and relationships, their cardinality, and related processes. In this position, you consult business projects and business functions such as HR, Legal, Security or IT. Furthermore, you design data structures that meet business requirements in a sustainable way, and you approve (or disapprove) implementation proposals against data standards and good Master Data practices. If, in addition, you are self-driven, not reluctant to challenge executives, at the same time diplomatic and able to achieve your targets by convincing people, you might be exactly the person we have been searching for. **Tasks & responsibilities**: - In your new role you will engage with Business Counterparts to understand the business needs.- You will translate Business needs into data structures in close collaboration with Business counterparts.- At all times you will ensure the data model reflects current (or desired) business reality.- - Moreover you will help rate possible implementation options based on cost, benefits and risks.- Also, you will coordinate and advise potential Data Subdomain Owners within own Data Domain.- You will enforce compliance with Boehringer Ingelheim’s Master Data Standards, with Master Data best practice, and with all relevant regulations.- Furthermore you will co-develop and -review data standards and rules.- You will work with Data Modelers and process experts to ensure comprehensive documentation of all model development, decisions, and reasons. **Requirements**: - Master’s degree in Data Sciences, Informatics, Business Administration or comparable qualification and long-term working experience- Deep knowledge about Master Data Architecture and excellent understanding of data structures, data models and data processes- Good understanding of process modelling and applied experience in managing projects- Very good skills in communications and change management and capabilities to successfully convince business leaders- Strategic, long-term focus, and willingness to work towards a vision as well as self-driven, pro-active attitude and strong focus on execution- Financial acumen and ability to think in business case dimensions- Ability to fluently communicate in English - spoken and in writing (German is a plus)- Experience in HR data and systems desired such as SAP MDG and Succesfactors will be beneficial- Willingness to travel as and when required (
