In Germany, CMC Markets has a fully regulated subsidiary called CMC Markets Germany GmbH (“GmbH”).
CMC Markets’ success is founded on its ability to deliver a wide range of trading products to customers, including equities, indices, currencies and commodities. CMC Markets has pioneered the development of online trading in markets around the world and has offices in 11 countries.
This is a 6 month FTC.
Key Responsibilities
- General_- Provide legal support to regional CMC offices in Europe, and assistance to the Legal function regarding all legal and regulatory aspects of CMC’s business in Germany and Europe.- Review and keep updated commercial contracts and template forms (e.g. CMC’s own client facing terms of business; IT contracts; marketing contracts; outsourcing contracts; market data agreements; a range of institutional / partners agreements).- Carry out legal research and administer documents.- Work collaboratively with, and provide legal support to, CMC’s global and local functions such as Compliance, Operations and Finance.- Support the global legal team by making a significant contribution to the provision of a high-quality legal service to the business, monitoring staying abreast of legal and regulatory developments, monitoring legal updates and sharing relevant information within the global legal team,- Deal with day-to-day tasks like inheritance matters, new supplier set-ups, and review of marketing communication.- Contribute to the provision of a high-quality legal service to the GmbH and the wider business.
Key Skills and Experience- Law degree or equivalent from a university in Germany (Uni/FH) or any other country.- Experience of working in the financial services sector would be an advantage.- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate in a concise manner.- Ability to analyse legal documents for accuracy.- Excellent organisation skills. Ability to work well autonomously and as part of the team. Positive and pro-active approach to all tasks.- Ability to speak and write German fluently. Additional foreign language skills would be an advantage
