Legal Counsel

**Your mission**:
The Legal Counsel is our contact person for all legal matters regarding our German and increasingly international customers, prospects, partners and suppliers. The person is an advisor to our go to market organization, preparing and reviewing legal documents and quotations for our software subscription and SaaS contracts and the general T&Cs.
The Legal Counsel is also in charge of developing and updating our standard legal documents as well as improving our field legal processes, including GDPR compliance. The person also acts as an internal legal advisor to the organization in various other legal questions.
Ideally the Legal Counsel is based in Frankfurt region, but we will also consider other locations in Germany.
- Act as a legal advisor and the main point of contact for our go to market organization
- Prepare and review legal documents and quotations, including SaaS contracts, partner contracts, NDAs, Data Processing Agreements, EVB-IT and VOL/A/B contracts
- Develop and update standard legal documents
- Improve and optimize our field legal processes
- Provide advice on data protection matters, including data processing agreements, data protection impact assessments, and other internal policies and documentation

**Your profile**:

- Lawyer / Graduate Lawyer / Business Lawyer (Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Business Law)
- Some professional experience in a similar position, either from an inhouse position or from a law firm
- A strong business mindset and willingness to learn more about software business
- Sound knowledge of IP/IT contract law and capacity to grasp related new technical and commercial concepts
- Some previous experience in data protection matters
- Smooth collaboration with the go to market team to get deals done
- Fluent in speech and writing in German and English
