We are looking for you We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Head of Risk Business Management (f/m/d) who will lead the Risk Business Management team. The Risk Business Management team is one team within the AllianzGI global Risk function further to Risk teams covering investment risks and operational & business risks for Public and Private Markets, the Risk Technology & Solutions team, and a Risk team in Asia-Pacific.

**Key responsibilities**
- Determine, prioritize and implement a comprehensive strategy for the global Risk function together with the Global Head of Risk and his other direct reports
- Working with the Risk Leadership team to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards the global Risk function’s goals
- Lead, manage and further develop a team of 3 direct reports who will support the planning and coordination of Risk function activities and related important projects and initiatives within Risk and in collaboration with Risk, and in doing so also helping to ensure alignment of resources and oversight of workload across the Risk organization
- Oversee and support the effective implementation of the Risk Management governance model, policies, methodologies and reporting framework as well as regulatory initiatives, collaborating closely with the other teams within the Risk Management function
- Shape and coordinate the maintenance of the global and regional Risk Policies & Procedures, including leading the development of the Global Risk Strategy, Global Risk Appetite and Global Risk Management Framework, adhering to Allianz Group requirements
- Identifying and providing recommendations on improvements and/or harmonization of operational activities and processes within the Risk organization
- Support delivery of business plans in relation to an efficient and cost-effective proposition of the vendors used by the Global Risk function
- Prepare board/management presentations and briefing materials content-wise (e.g. functional steering group and leadership meetings)
- Act as point of contact or gatekeeper between the AllianzGI Risk teams and the Risk function of the shareholder, Allianz Asset Management respectively Allianz, as well as auditors
- Act as an interface and promote an effective dialogue between the different regions and other departments (e.g. Investments, Technology, Operations & Products (TOP), Legal & Compliance) and foster collaboration cross-functionally and cross-region

**Key requirements/ skills/ experience**
- Ideally a minimum of 15 - 18 years of combined relevant experience in Risk and Business Management in the financial industry
- Ideally, practical experience and/or knowledge in different areas of Risk Management and related regulations and/or Project Management
- Several years of experience as consultant in a Risk Advisory capacity are very beneficial
- Proven understanding of the Asset Management value chain, including a basic knowledge of the underlying regulatory frameworks
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with a very structured and organized approach as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Proven managerial experience and leadership skills
- High resilience to a demanding environment
- Proficiency and strong communication skills in English are required, further languages, in particular German, are highly beneficial
- Ability to constructively challenge the status quo and to understand sophisticated topics and being able to transfer them into simplified views
- A very flexible and proactive approach, combining diplomacy and assertiveness
- Ability to collaborate and work optimal with various departments in an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of a Sustainability Risk Management Framework will be a plus
- Ideally demonstrable knowledge of relevant Insurance-specific Risk Management frameworks and regimes, such as Solvency 2
- CFA and/or MBA in General Management or Finance will be valuable
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular MS PowerPoint and MS Excel are important
