Main Tasks:
Administration, configuration and support of IT infrastructure such as: Linux/Solaris servers, cloud systems, virtualization, storage systems, firewalls, backup, LDAP, groupware.
Analysis and solution of technical problems
Planning and execution of maintenance work
Monitoring of the IT infrastructure
Implementation of scripts
Virus protection and data backup
Selection test
Hardware and software procurement

Desired skills for solaris administrator include:
Fundamental concepts and technologies associated with Solaris Operating Systems
Integration with operating systems
OS clustering
Partitioning
Virtualization and storage administration
Red Hat 7
Red Hat and CentOS 6
Solaris 10
OS security best practices and experience with the Secure Technical Implementation Guide process
AIX and Solaris hardware
