Job Location-Frankfurt Germany
Note: Due to COVID-19 client will do virtual hiring process and continue to interview candidates by phone or video. Initially new hires will work in hybrid mode and later on will be required to work in office as per business needs.

Certified candidate with 7 years of experience to manage all aspects of Amazon RDS, Oracle Database administration

Duties:

  1. Responsible for installation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) RDS, Oracle database, RAC, dataguard and Golden Gate on different platforms.

  2. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of databases on the cloud environments.

  2. Responsible for security and safety of the data and the database.

  2. Responsible for patching and upgrades of the Database.

  2. Responsible for DC/DR, Backup/Restore of the Database.

  2. Responsible for health and uptime of database

  2. Support the product team for application schema setup.

  2. Support the application team for connecting with the database, load balancing and failover.

  2. Support the development teams to troubleshoot and resolve the database related issues.

  2. Support the Development teams for performance tuning.
Required Skills/Background:

  1. Understanding on Amazon Web Services(AWS) RDS, Oracle Architecture and end to end administration.

  2. Understanding of network concepts, storage systems, ASM disk groups.

  2. Hands on experience in installation of Oracle Databases in Standalone, RAC, DataGuard and Golden Gate environments.

  2. Hands on experience on the installation and maintenance of databases on the cloud environments.

  2. Hands on experience in Database patching, Version Upgrade.

  2. Familiar with various backup and recovery methods.

  2. Experience with DC/DR configuration for high availability.

  2. Experience with SQL tuning, configuration or Resource Manager.

  2. Working knowledge in Unix environments such as AIX/Solaris/Linux/HP-UX and Unix shell scripts.

  2. Hands on experience in analysing Oracle Trace files, Alert log, Listener log.

  2. Good knowledge on document and run book preparation.

  2. Good communication skill is necessary.

  2. Willingness to travel to client sites if required.

  2. Data Extraction, transformation, masking, subsetting and loading​​​​​​​Additional skills - Nice to have
