**About Your Role**

Based in one of our offices in Munich, Frankfurt or Hamburg, your role is a mix of underwriting and client interaction - two highly face paced areas that requires a very flexible approach - and you will be communicating directly with clients and brokers. Main tasks/activities are:

- Underwriting for new and existing clients in accordance with internal processes and guidelines while keeping the focus on satisfying the client needs
- Analyze and assess Executive Risks submissions in respect of exposure and coverages, prepare quotations, structure programs and offer proposals for primary and excess business
- Broker and client visits in order to build and maintain relationships
- Develop strategies to adapt position on current accounts and to cross-sell other lines of business in collaboration with sales
- Establish and maintain knowledge of German insurance market in respects of wording, insurance law and regulation as well as brokers and competitors
- Mentoring and advising young professionals or Junior Underwriters as required
- Promote positive interaction and collaboration with internal peers
- Communicate actively, timely and with openness
- Represent Swiss Re in meetings with clients, brokers and other Swiss Re Group branches
- Contribute to project work, work in international teams and accept special assignments as required

**About Your Team**

We pursue the goal of results-oriented Underwriting. The positive relationship with our customers and brokers in Germany and Austria in addition with our strong brand is basis for our success. With our continuous improvement attitude we desire to provide our external clients and internal peers with fast, easy and effective ways of conducting business within an environment where the risks are understood.

You will be integrated in the German Executive Risks team (consisting of Head Casualty & FinPro, Senior Underwriters and Underwriters Executive Risks, Working Students, Underwriting Assistants and Business Services). The well attuned and highly motivated team is serving clients for Corporate Solutions. The role will interact frequently with a number of stakeholders like Claims, Contracts, Product Underwriters, Operations, Actuaries and RES.

**About You**
- High level of Executive Risks (D&O, IPO / POSI, VSV / BBB, EPL, PI) insurance knowledge - for commercial risks and FI-risks
- 4+ years of relevant experience in writing Executive Risks business for large and mid corporate costumers incl. experience in wording development
- Strong network and good knowledge of the German Executive Risks market
- Negotiation skills
- Experience and understanding of Executive Risks risks
- Demonstrate ability on working team-orientated, efficiently and under pressure
- German native speaker and fluent knowledge of English language (written and spoken)
- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced Underwriters
- Regular business travels required
