Plastics Processing Team Leader

**Role Overview**

As the plastics processing team leader, you will supervise the manufacturing process and coordinate the deployment of resources and personnel. In collaboration with the Head of Operations, you will plan the purchase of tools, machinery and equipment and monitor their use.

You’ll also be responsible for the quality assurance and testing of the Plastics department as well as scheduling, Health & Safety, KPI’s and production & manufacturing.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Exceptional and authentic leadership of the team by fostering a proactive culture and improving performance to meet customer needs
- Manage production capacity, planning and scheduling to meet current and future customer requirements
- Use of innovative manufacturing processes for improved quality and cost optimization
- On Time Delivery, productivity and product quality and reduction of lead times etc.
- Handling of personnel deployment using operational and legal regulations
- Lead and develop the team through clear performance targets, goals and opportunities for improvement
- Manage and improve operational performance in accordance with agreed KPIs, such as occupational health and safety (LTA / First Aid Incidents / SAFERs)

**Critical Competencies for Success**
- Technician (plastics and rubber technology) -/master craftsman training or comparable experience (process mechanic plastics)
- Demonstrable professional experience, including extensive experience in the production of plastics
- Extensive operational leadership experience in a technical or industrial environment
- Experience in Lean / Continuous Improvement / Kaizen optimizations with a focus on improving KPI performance
- Experience in the field of project management including APQP and NPI
- Open to change management within a dynamic work environment
