**About the Role**

As a Senior Architect, you will take ownership of defining, developing, and implementing the Architecture for the Chemistry Domain. You will collaborate with customers, development, and other domains to guide, advise, and communicate on critical architectural principles. You will research and stay current with new technologies and innovation to help create and identify potential new solutions.

**Key Responsibilities of a Senior Solution Architect**:

- Partnering with Architects and cross-functional technical teams to provide consultancy, leadership, and communication and to promote software engineering best-practices
- Defining and implementing a technology strategy to align with business requirements and to generate new ideas and innovations
- Monitoring the Chemistry Domain system health and design to write proposals to plan the future of our technology architecture
- Providing architecture and design guidance for reviewing changes, development projects and technical evaluations of new technology
- Researching and assessing industry and technology advancements and developments to identify opportunities to advance our technical capabilities in the field of Cheminformatics.
- Assist in developing comprehensive information security procedures and practices and solutions to ensure we respond to enterprise security issues quickly
- Leading cross-functional technical teams to identify, research and coordinate resources to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose complex project issues.

**Requirements as a Senior Solution Architect**:

- Have strong knowledge of programming languages such as.Net, Java, HTML, C#, or similar
- Be proficient in some of the following technologies: Search, Natural Language Processing, Parallel and Distributed Processing Systems, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, large-scale Websites and Databases, Declarative Languages or High-Performance Computing
- Have a solid working knowledge in some of the following areas: Network Design, Storage System Architecture, Service and Microservice Architecture technologies, XML, XSLT and JSON Parallel Processing Architectures
- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences. This is an absolute must.
- Enjoy collaborating and leading teams to design a strategy to solve problems and implement innovative solutions
- Show experience in leading and delivering large, complex technology projects successfully in a global-matrixed environment
- Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders, teams, and vendors across our business
