**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Network Design & Implementation**:

- Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and resilient network architectures leveraging _Extreme Networks_ products, including ExtremeSwitching, ExtremeRouting, and ExtremeWireless solutions.
- Oversee the deployment and configuration of network hardware such as 7X, 5X, and 2X series switches, and configure advanced features like stacking, VLANs, and dynamic routing protocols.
- Drive site redesigns and modernization efforts, particularly hardware refreshes with Extreme Network Products & Fabrics.
- **Advanced Network Solutions**:

- Implement technologies like _Fabric Connect_ for simplified network management and _VXLAN_ for efficient virtualization.
- Optimize _ExtremeWireless_ solutions, including access points, controllers, and cloud-driven management for seamless wireless connectivity.
- **Security & Network Control**:

- Ensure security by leveraging _Extreme Networks’ security solutions_, such as _ExtremeControl_ for network access control (NAC) and role-based access policies.
- Implement _ExtremeSecurity_ features like threat intelligence and behavioral analysis to safeguard the network against evolving cyber threats.
- **Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution**:

- Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex network problems using tools like _ExtremeManagement_.
- Work closely with _Extreme Networks’ technical support_ to efficiently resolve escalated network issues.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures through _ExtremeControl Center_.
- Generate regular reports on network performance, security, and capacity utilizing _ExtremeAnalytics_ and other reporting tools.
- **Collaboration & Mentorship**:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including _Network Operations_, _Cloud & On-Prem Infrastructure Operations_, and _Network Security_, to ensure seamless integration of Extreme Networks solutions.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior members of the network engineering team.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in networking, specifically in data center network assessment, design, and implementation.
- Proven hands-on experience with _Extreme Networks_ hardware and software, including ExtremeSwitching, ExtremeRouting, and ExtremeWireless.
- **Certifications**:

- _CCNP_ or equivalent (CCNP+ level preferred).
- _ITIL_ certification.
- **Skills & Expertise**:

- Proficient in network troubleshooting, configuration, and reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of network access control, security features, and network monitoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of advanced network technologies like _Fabric Connect_, _VXLAN_, and cloud-driven wireless solutions.
- Basic project management skills for coordinating activities within large-scale M&A projects.

- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
