**Summary**:
The Journey Network Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and support of data networks and related network equipment. The position seeks to ensure the uptime, performance, resources, & security of the networks managed, including local, wireless, and wide area networks.

**Responsibilities**:
**Essential Job Functions**:

- Possesses and applied a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
- Plans and leads major technology assighments.
- Evakyates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Funtions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervisor others.
- Administering the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures
- Coordinating and implementing network software and hardware upgrades
- Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems
- Administering LAN/WAN security, antivirus, and spam control measures
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
- Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
- Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
- Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Qualifications:
**Necessary Skills and Knowledge**:

- Needs solid technical skills and experience with a variety of network 41 protocols, software, and hardware involved in LAN and WAN operations.
- Requires strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills, along with good communication abilities.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- 5 - 10 years of related experience
- Extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, and server and network infrastructure is required.
- ** MUST have and ACTIVE Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to **SCI.**

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with network design, installation, and configuration
- Experience with network monitoring tools

The salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$125,000.00 annually.
