Your knowledge and experiences have given you a very good understanding of the Construction and/or Logistic Industry, the suppliers on the market and the solutions created to support fulfilling customer orders.

You are autonomous and are self-driven. You are open to challenges, changes and always look for new possibilities to develop the ways of working. You are a great communicator and you like interacting and building trustworthy relations with people inside and outside of IKEA.

As a Purchaser for Ingka (IKEA parent company), you will act as an ambassador of our company and conduct yourself in a fair and professional way.
- Relevant Procurement Experience preferable within the Area of Construction Business and Focus on Logistic Projects
- Excellent knowledge about business, industry, and market specific conditions within above mentioned markets Construction and/or Logistic
- Project Management and problem-solving skills as demonstrated by experience and tangible accomplishments
- Strong negotiation skills and Contract Management knowledge
- Capability to take responsibility and initiative, feel comfortable navigating in a complex stakeholder map
- A fact base approach
- Good knowledge of data analytical and procurement process tools (ideally SAP/ARIBA)
- You have a university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a completed commercial apprenticeship (abgeschlossene kaufmännische Ausbildung)
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

IKEA is on a journey to truly become a multi-channel Retailer and in the coming years many of the customer fulfillment units will be built or rebuilt to accommodate to this multi-channel environment. We are recruiting a Purchaser to join in our Construction & Fit-Out Category Team.

The role will be based in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim, but you will work across Countries in the Cluster Europe Central (D A CH Region Austria, Germany, Switzerland) and in a global network that opens for many possibilities.

As a Purchaser you have the opportunity to influence and make a difference for an important part of IKEA, as we are designing the Stores of tomorrow with fulfilment capabilities. You will be responsible for developing the business, taking away cost from the value chain, whilst securing products and services with high quality, sustainability and compliance standards.

As a Purchaser you will contribute to the development and execution of the action plan by securing compliance of the IKEA purchase process, building long-term supplier partnerships and drive supplier performance and by involving relevant business partners to identify business needs and opportunities.
You will Co-operate with team members and internal business partner from other and own units to find and explore synergies, seek opportunities for improvement and to accomplish common goals according to the IKEA values.

Take fully responsibility for following and securing the Ingka Procurement purchase process end-to-end and secure compliance of IKEA rules and guidelines, Code of Conduct, law & business ethics.
You have the ability to work simultaneously with multiple projects and navigate in a fast-paced industry, that is and will be in constant change, and you will bring in to Ingka new innovative solutions from the industry.
