Senior Data Scientist

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- In this position, you design, train, evaluate and deploy deep convolutional neural networks for spoof detection in face authentication systems.
- You conduct research on cutting edge deep learning architectures and training paradigms as well as develop new algorithms to advance the solution.
- In addition, you strategize data acquisition campaigns and conduct exploratory data analysis to train models that meet product requirements.
- Furthermore, you perform hyperparameter tuning, neural architecture search and quantization to optimize models for inference on embedded systems.
- Last but not least, you communicate performance metrics and evaluation results to key stakeholders.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science (Data Science/ML specialization) or a related technical field
- 4+ years of experience working on machine learning problems in a team and with real world data
- strong Python programming skills and extensive hands-on experience with TensorFlow / Keras or PyTorch
- experience with deep learning for image classification, segmentation and object detection and respective state-of-the-art architectures
- experience with computer vision algorithms
- excellent communication skills and ability to explain solutions to complex technical problems clearly and concisely
- experience with any of the following is a plus: C++, depth cameras and sensor data, multivariate statistical analysis
- fluent in English (German is a plus)
