**Your role at zolar: Head of Accounting**

As the **Head of Accounting** at zolar, you will be part of the leadership group within Finance. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization.

You and your team will oversee all aspects of accounting and financial operations, including statutory filings, audit completion, tax compliance, and internal controls. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide strategic guidance to support zolar's mission of making solar power accessible to everyone.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Contribute to monthly reporting and annual budgeting process in collaboration with the FP&A team.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Stay abreast of accounting standards and regulations, and assess their impact on zolar's financial operations.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Continuously prepare the company for upcoming growth and needs ahead of time
- Develop a network and collaborative relationship with the key stakeholders within the company to contribute to the company's success

**What you will need to bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or other certification preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting principles and proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
- Commitment to integrity and ethical conduct in financial management.
