**This position reports to**:
Head of Transportation & Trade Compliance
**Your role and responsibilities**:
As a Transportation Specialist, you will assist the business function and/or Business Excellence Centers as well as ensure that goods are shipped while meeting quality, legal and costs parameters. In this role you will maintain and improve transport/logistics processes to optimize product and material deliveries. The work model for the role is: onsite - Proper and timely shipping and document handling - Creation of all documents required for shipping - Invoicing of deliveries and preparation of invoices in compliance with customer and country regulations - Communicating status to Logistics and Sales organizations as appropriate - Determination of shipping and packaging types within the framework of given guidelines - Disposition of cargo space and notification of shipments to forwarder - Processing complaints - Monitoring of receipts of air and sea freight documents - Registration and processing of manual shipments - Creation of statistics - Accounting of transport invoices
**Qualifications for the role**:
- Min. 3 years of experience in working as a transportation specialist
- Vocational degree as an industrial clerk/forwarding clerk
- Knowledge of goods origin and preferences would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the export law and international trade terms would be a plus
- Specialist knowledge of foreign trade/customs
- Fluency in English and German
