**Duties**:
The incumbent is a Classified Pouch Clerk for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security’s Frankfurt Regional Diplomatic Courier Division (FRDCD). The incumbent must be a U.S. citizen and hold a Top-Secret security clearance and German driver’s license. The incumbent’s primary place of work is the Diplomatic Security Classified Pouch Vault / Logistics Operations Center (LOC) at the U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt. The Classified Pouch Clerk receives, inspects, processes, inventories, transports, and safeguards classified material to help ensure the security, integrity, and unbroken chain-of-custody of classified diplomatic pouches to more than 275 U.S. Missions worldwide. Classified diplomatic pouches often contain material required for posts to maintain operational readiness and to ensure the safety, security, and/or life-critical health of U.S. personnel and posts. The incumbent also serves as a diplomatic courier escort to assist diplomatic couriers with classified diplomatic pouch missions. This involves frequent irregular shift work at both the LOC and the Frankfurt International Airport, operating high-value U.S. government commercial warehouse equipment, driving U.S. government vehicles to and from the airport and sometimes across international borders, and specialized security training to possess and maintain airport tarmac and driving access.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one year of hands-on experience working in a warehouse and/or airport/industrial environment.
- Education Requirements:
Mandatory: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:
**English**: Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate. This will be tested.

**German**: Rudimentary verbal skills. This will be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- A Top-Secret security clearance is required.
- When in the capacity as a Diplomatic Courier Escort, must be able to plan a week in advance, able to assist departing Diplomatic Couriers, adapt to permanently irregular, unscheduled hours of work, extended outdoor activity to include inclement weather and airport/tarmac noise.
- Must be able to communicate USG needs to foreign authorities with tact and diplomacy to encourage cooperation.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and provide updates to existing staff in computer operations, house safety and Consulate security.
- Must possess a German (EU) driver's license and be able to pass a German driving test for tarmac driving privileges (Must not be colorblind).
