At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Procurement Team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Strategic Buyer (all genders)

Full-time and permanent

to support the German procurement team based in our headquarters in Hamburg. We offer you an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging role and contribute to bringing the supplier strategy with the global scope to the next level. You will coordinate with our buyer team the alignment of global strategic guidance to our suppliers as well as provide general company guidance. We work with state-of-the-art technologies 4.0 and enjoy developing agile solutions while supporting the company growth. In addition, we also offer you flexible working time, while enjoying modern e-procurement systems and a modern workspace.

Your key responsibilities:

- Development of purchasing strategies for the responsible product groups
- Conduct contract negotiations with service providers
- Determination of needs and benefits analysis while considering economic and technical aspects
- Creating presentations, analyzes and reports
- Analyzing, benchmarking of contracts and processes in order to optimize these
- Prepare and participate in workshops with the respective stakeholders

Your ideal qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics or a related field
- Demonstrated work experience in procurement
- E-procurement knowledge, experience with supplier catalogues and b2b processes
- Basic knowledge of legal matters related to procurement topics
- Ability to work autonomously, but also as an active team member
- Strong problem-solving skills as well as a proactive, organized and flexible personality
- Ability to establish good relationships and work effectively with internal users and suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in common office software like Microsoft Word, Excel
- Fluent in English, German is of advantage
