**Your mission**:
As a **Cyber **Modeling Expert** you occupy a crucial role in shaping our product You will get to have the best of both worlds by working in an exciting fast-paced startup but having the opportunity to work closely with one of the best global modelling communities which is within the Munich Re Group. The top-down cyber risk quantification approach is novel in the global market - you will support in expanding our methodology and making our model more accurate. Between analysing existing data, researching, and thinking in creative ways of how cyber risk attacks can have financial impact, you will enhance the confidence of our risk model. By doing this, you will be participating in building an outstanding product for our partners and clients.
- Quantify cyber incidents. Based on real cyber incidents, go through the life cycle of primary and third-party costs to discover the financial impact
- Create sub-models. Maintain and help develop sub-models and model additions for new use cases, e.g. benchmarking or information security cost drivers
- Administrate the database. Continuously document cyber-incident costs into a database and keep already existing data updated
- Support cyber strategy. Contribute by analysing and evaluating other cyber risk quantification models in the market
- Expand cyber risk knowledge. Research the totality of global cyber risk cost within the changing threat landscape
- Create content. Develop cyber risk and quantification content to be used for the platform development and for sales/marketing

**Your Profile**:

- University degree, preferably a master’s degree with focus on risk management, mathematics or related fields. Tech-orientated courses and specialisations are of advantage.
- Professional work experience (2-3 years), ideally in analysing and working with financial data to build forecasting models. Cyber risk experience is a plus.
- Ability to implement mathematical solutions into a software code.
- You bring along organisational and management skills as well as have high attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills on a professional business level are needed to write documentations, reports, and communicate with stakeholders.
- You have an entrepreneurial and creative mindset and enjoy taking risks.
- Able to proactively solve problems, make decisions and show initiative. Also, you are flexible and enjoy working in a startup-like environment. We are a young company - showing responsibility and own-initiative is crucial and will allow you to self-develop.
- You have excellent written and spoken English communication abilities.
