**About Corporate Client Banking**

The Corporate Client Banking (“CCB”) group focuses on mid-cap companies that require traditional banking services in addition to investment banking products. Corporate bankers leverage the power of the firm via customized financing solutions and through partnerships with treasury services, markets, investment banking and credit risk to help clients achieve their short and long-term growth objectives.

Our CCB business in Europe has various offices for example in Germany, Switzerland, France, the UK, Italy, and Spain. As a working student, you will work with CCB Bankers as well as Product Partners (including Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Investment Banking (IB) Industry Coverage, Credit and Treasury Services) who assist corporate clients in a broad variety of products that J.P. Morgan offers globally, such as a range of financing solutions, strategic transactions and treasury services.

**What You Can Expect**

Currently we are looking for a highly motivated working student to be part of our CCB team in Germany for a duration of one year. Our team members and mentors will help you navigate the firm and continue to learn about our businesses. Access to senior management and a strong network of peers will promote ongoing professional development (19 hours/week during the semester and fulltime in period of university holidays). The position is based in our office in Frankfurt.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting CCB bankers in managing internal aspects of existing client relationships
- Helping with industry and credit analysis, including reviewing financial statements, supporting the credit approval and documentation process
- Preparing internal memos, for example senior management briefings, decision committee memoranda
- Participating in the analysis and negotiation of financing requests in coordination with credit, product, legal and compliance teams
- Coordinating with product and country teams to identify and execute transactions for clients globally across a range of products including capital markets, credit risk solutions, transaction banking
- Networking with industry leaders, accessing best-in-class training and learning how all our businesses work together to provide excellent customer service
- Assisting with country-level reporting requirements and data management

**About You**

Genuine curiosity about the Corporate Client Banking world is the starting point. We're looking for entrepreneurial, adaptable, accurate, enthusiastic students who thrive under pressure and in a team. There's no set degree for Corporate Bankers; but a demonstrated interest in finance and economics is advantageous.

**Required qualification, capabilities and skills**:

- Exceptional analytical, research and project management skills
- Familiarity with business fundamentals
- Ability to quickly solve problems on your own and with a team
- Entrepreneurial approach, enthusiasm, energy and a drive to succeed
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to partner and work on a team
- The confidence and initiative to take on early responsibility and manage your own projects
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English and German
