Unsere Lidar-Sensoren sind branchenführend in Bezug auf Größe, Gewicht und Punktwolkenleistung. Trotzdem gibt es noch viel Potenzial Können wir mit den richtigen Verarbeitungsalgorithmen zu einer noch besseren Reichweite kommen? Hilf uns, die theoretischen Grenzen zu finden und eine praktische Umsetzung zu finden, die uns näher an die Grenze bringt

Unterstützt von unseren Experten verstehst Du die physikalischen und elektrischen Eigenschaften unseres Detektors und tauchst tief in die Anforderungen der Signalverarbeitung ein. Du erarbeitest Kriterien für theoretische Grenzen und validierst Deine Ideen mit Daten aus unserem Detektorsimulations-Framework. Mit diesen Ergebnissen entwickelst Du eine realistische Algorithmusidee, die auf unsere neueste Sensorarchitektur zugeschnitten ist. Das i-Tüpfelchen ist die Implementierung Deines Algorithmus in echter Hardware.
Leider können wir keine Vergütung für die Arbeit an diesen Thesen anbieten.

Aufgaben
- Finde theoretische Erfassungsgrenzen eines Signals bei Vorhandensein von sowohl unkorreliertem (hauptsächlich Umgebungslicht) als auch korreliertem (Detektor-) Rauschen.
- Implementiere einen Algorithmus mit optimaler Leistung (Python oder C++)
- Untersuche verschiedene Möglichkeiten, eine auf dem realen System realisierbare Approximation zu implementieren
- Implementiere eines vielversprechenden Algorithmus-Kandidaten auf FPGA (mit Hilfe unseres FPGA-Teams)

Profil
- Du studierst derzeit (Elektro-)Ingenieurwesen, Informatik, Physik
- Du verfügst über sehr gute elektrotechnische Kenntnisse und sind in der Lage, physikalische Modelle von Photodetektoren wie APD, SiPM und SPAD zu verstehen
- Du hast ein solides Verständnis von Informationstheorie und Signalverarbeitung, einschließlich Abtasttheorem, Filterung, Frequenzbereich und Rauschmodellierung.
- Du hast Erfahrung in Python und/oder C++
- Idealerweise hast Du erste Erfahrungen mit FPGA (VHDL) Entwicklung
